This workshop will offer you the chance to experience folk song in a living, dynamic and contemporary way, and will open your ears and voices to new ways of singing folksongs in a choral setting. This course will explore:
- The unique mature of the music that underlies out folk songs
- The mysteries of modes in folk melodies
- The subtle and elemental nature of folk song rhythms
- The stunning chords of oral harmony
